One of the best things about summer is hanging out in Galveston at the beach or the neighborhood pool. For some Fort Bend County residents, their backyards are their oasis. We sometimes get distracted with all the fun we are having that we forget to apply sunscreen appropriately and we get sunburned. For most, sunburns are the most irritating of summer ailments. I hurts to sleep. Hurts to shower. Hurts to wear clothes when a sunburn is bad.
One popular remedy is aloe vera. But what if you don’t have any? HANG ON. You might have other remedies in your home. Things as simple as cold water or ice can ease the heat of a sunburn. A simple cloth soaked in cold milk and applied to the burn might help according to EMaxHealth . Finely ground oatmeal lightly rubbed on the skin might draw some of the burn out. Draw a bath and add a cup or so of oatmeal, and just soak.
